National Guard Takes Control of Los Angeles as Newsom Clashes with Trump

National Guard troops have taken control of key areas in Los Angeles following violent anti-ICE riots that left parts of the city in chaos.

Looting, arson and clashes with police prompted President Trump to deploy 300 National Guard soldiers, with more on standby.

Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the move as unconstitutional and announced plans to sue the federal government for bypassing state authority.

Trump defended the deployment, calling protesters paid agitators and urging firm action.

Law enforcement in Los Angeles admitted they were overwhelmed as tensions continue to rise between state leaders and the White House.
