Iran has announced that it is negotiating “with all our might” to stop the reimposition of United Nations sanctions.
The warning comes as Britain, France and Germany signal readiness to trigger the snapback mechanism if Tehran fails to re-engage meaningfully with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Tensions have risen since Iran restricted inspector access following strikes on its nuclear facilities earlier this year.
Officials in Tehran insist they are committed to diplomacy but accuse Western governments of politicising the nuclear file.
The coming weeks are seen as critical in determining whether sanctions relief can be preserved.
