Illegal Migrants Are Vanishing From UK Hotels

A whistleblower working inside Britain’s migrant hotels says failed asylum seekers are disappearing every day and describes the situation as “terrifying.”

According to the contractor, once a claim is rejected the individual is given a move out date, yet many simply walk out before enforcement arrives.

They are then logged as “left the hotel” and a routine notification is sent to the Home Office with no further action.

The National Audit Office reports that the government does not know how many absconded or where most rejected asylum seekers are.

More than 36,000 migrants remain in hotel accommodation and the asylum system cost taxpayers £4.9 billion last year.

Despite Home Office claims of record removals, one study found only 9 percent of rejected applicants were actually deported.

The rest remain in legal limbo or untracked entirely.
