Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz says Israel is “closely monitoring” developments in Iran as concerns grow that Tehran is rebuilding and expanding its ballistic missile production capabilities.
Speaking at a pilots’ graduation ceremony, Katz referenced Israel’s strikes on Iran during “Operation Rising Lion,” conducted alongside the United States during June’s 12 day war.
Katz said he could not disclose operational details but stressed that Israel’s security doctrine has fundamentally changed since the Hamas attack.
“What was before October 7 will not be again. We will not allow threats of annihilation against the State of Israel.”
Officials say Israel will act if Iranian capabilities cross red lines.
