Denmark Rejects Any Challenge to Greenland’s Sovereignty

Mette Frederiksen has issued a stark warning over Greenland, saying Denmark will not negotiate its sovereignty, identity, borders or democracy.

Frederiksen said any attempt to challenge these principles represents an undermining of the world order.

She added that the situation appears to be worsening, describing the current moment as a dark chapter for international stability.

Her comments come amid rising tensions over Greenland’s strategic importance and growing concern in Europe about challenges to territorial integrity.

Copenhagen has insisted that Greenland remains an inseparable part of the Danish realm and not subject to external pressure.
