The United States has urged European governments to avoid what it called “reflexive anger” over Greenland, as tensions rise following recent remarks and diplomatic friction.
US officials said allies should approach the issue calmly and through dialogue, stressing that no decisions or actions should undermine alliance unity.
The comments come amid heightened sensitivity in Europe over Greenland’s sovereignty and strategic importance in the Arctic.
Washington says it remains committed to cooperation with NATO partners while managing disagreements through diplomatic channels rather than public escalation.
