Iran has demanded the immediate release of the cargo vessel seized by the US Navy in the Gulf of Oman on Sunday, calling the operation “extremely dangerous” and “criminal”.
The foreign ministry says the cargo was worth millions and that Tehran will use “all its capacities” to defend its interests, placing full responsibility for any escalation on Washington.
The seizure came hours after Trump accused Iran of firing on French and British vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC has reimposed de facto closure of the waterway.
Iran’s leverage is now openly military.
The regime is signalling it will not back down in the final forty-eight hours of the ceasefire.
