Counter-terror police are investigating an arson attack on ambulances belonging to Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer emergency service, after several vehicles were set on fire in Golders Green, north London.
Police said the blaze is being treated as a hate crime, while specialist counter-terror officers have taken the lead because of the seriousness of the incident.
No injuries were reported, though nearby property was damaged after explosions caused by gas cylinders inside the ambulances.
The attack has been widely condemned by political and community leaders, who described it as a shocking antisemitic assault on a vital emergency service.
