Denmark Proposes Ban on Social Media for Under-15s

The Danish government says it plans to ban children under 15 from using “multiple social media platforms,” though parents may still grant access from age 13.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced the measure during her opening address to parliament, arguing that mobile phones and social media are “stealing our children’s childhoods.”

The proposal still needs legislative approval and details like enforcement, which platforms it covers, and how age checks would be handled are not yet clear.
