French Interior Ministry Hit by Major Cyber Breach

France’s Ministry of the Interior has suffered a cyberattack that allowed intruders to access internal email servers and sensitive files.

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez confirmed the breach and said investigators have not yet determined the full scale of the data leak.

Cybersecurity teams are working to trace the source of the intrusion and assess which documents may have been compromised.

The ministry has activated emergency protocols and notified relevant agencies while strengthening network defences.

Officials warn the investigation could take time because the attackers used methods designed to obscure their identity and movements inside the system.
