Hamas break Trump’s peace deal – no disarmament

A senior Hamas official told AFP that surrendering weapons is “out of the question and not negotiable,” dismissing a central demand of Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan.

The U.S. proposal offers amnesty to Hamas members who disarm and guarantees safe passage out of Gaza, but the group remains defiant.

Despite international pressure, Hamas insists its armed resistance will continue.

The ceasefire, brokered last week, remains in effect as the Monday deadline approaches for the release of Israeli hostages abducted during the 2023 invasion, a key condition for moving forward with any broader peace framework.
