IRGC Beg For Second Round Of Talks With U.S.

Despite imposing a naval blockade on Iranian ports, the Trump administration says it is actively discussing arrangements for a second round of in-person negotiations with Tehran. A US official told CNN both sides are still communicating and a new meeting could happen before the ceasefire expires on 22 April, or the truce could be extended.

Trump told reporters on Monday that Iran had phoned Washington and that they “want to make a deal very badly.”

Vance meanwhile accused Iran of “economic terrorism” by keeping the strait restricted, saying “two can play at that game.”

The nuclear red line – zero enrichment – remains non-negotiable.
