Israel Expands Gaza Operation with Controversial Migration Plan

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has announced that the ongoing military operation in Gaza will persist until all objectives are achieved, including the implementation of a voluntary migration plan for Gaza’s residents.

The plan involves relocating the entire population of Gaza to the southern part of the Strip.

A new directorate has been established to facilitate this process, coordinating movement routes and providing infrastructure for departures by land, sea, and air.

Critics argue that the plan amounts to forced displacement under the guise of voluntariness, raising concerns about potential violations of international law.

The international community has expressed alarm over the humanitarian implications of such a mass relocation.

The situation continues to evolve, with significant implications for the region’s stability and the well-being of Gaza’s civilian population.
