The ten-day Israel Lebanon ceasefire brokered by Trump took effect at midnight Beirut time, but is already wobbling.
Lebanese forces accused Israel of breaching the agreement within the first hour, with artillery shelling reported in the south and Israeli troops refusing to withdraw from positions beyond the Litani River.
Netanyahu openly rejected Hezbollah’s terms.
Iran’s parliamentary speaker said Tehran and Hezbollah remain “one” and will treat the truce with caution.
More than two thousand Lebanese have died in six weeks of fighting.
The pause is less a peace deal than a ten-day test of whether either side wants one.
