The Israel Defense Forces, together with the Shin Bet security agency and the Air Force, have confirmed carrying out a targeted operation against senior Hamas leaders.
According to the IDF statement, those targeted had directed Hamas operations for years and were directly responsible for the October 7 massacre as well as for leading the ongoing war against Israel.
The military described the strike as a significant blow to the group’s command structure.
No further details on the identities of the leaders or the scale of the operation have yet been released.
