Two Israeli embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were fatally shot by a terrorist outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.
The couple, who were planning to become engaged, had just attended a reception hosted by the American Jewish Committee.
The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, from Chicago, reportedly shouted “Free, free Palestine” upon arrest and is in custody.
Authorities, including the FBI, are investigating the incident as a potential hate crime and act of terrorism.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump condemned the attack, highlighting concerns over rising antisemitism amid global tensions.
