U.S. officials detected unidentified drones flying above Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, the Army base where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth live, according to a Washington Post report citing three people briefed on the matter.
Officials have not determined where the drones came from, two of those sources said.
The reported sightings have raised fresh security concerns at a sensitive military site in the U.S. capital amid heightened tensions linked to the conflict with Iran.
