Second US-Iran Talks Could Happen This Week

The US and Iran are actively working to arrange a second round of direct negotiations before the ceasefire expires on 22 April.

President Trump told reporters Iran had called Washington saying they “want to make a deal very badly.”

A senior US official cautioned that Washington has not yet formally agreed to a ceasefire extension, but confirmed “continued engagement” with Tehran.

JD Vance is expected to lead the US delegation again should a new meeting materialise.

Pakistan remains the preferred venue, though other locations are being considered.

The nuclear red line – zero enrichment – remains Washington’s stated non-starter.
