Swedish Police Seize Grenades and Assault Rifles in Klippan Raid

In a significant operation in Klippan, southern Sweden, police uncovered over 20 hand grenades and multiple automatic firearms during a raid targeting local drug gangs.

The weapons, believed to be smuggled from the Balkans, highlight the escalating gang violence in Sweden.

The country now ranks second globally for bomb explosions outside of war zones, trailing only Mexico.

In January 2025 alone, Sweden experienced 32 explosions, averaging more than one per day, with incidents often linked to extortion and turf wars among criminal networks.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to combat this surge in violence, which has increasingly impacted civilians and businesses.
