Taliban says US National Guard shooting ‘not Afghanistan’s problem’

The government of Taliban has dismissed the recent killing of a U.S. National Guard member in Washington as irrelevant to Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi said the attack was committed by an Afghan individual trained by the United States itself.

The statement insists Kabul has no link to the suspect or the violence.

The government called the incident a matter purely internal to the United States and rejected calls for collective responsibility.
