Two Jewish men have been stabbed and are in a serious condition after a knifeman ran down Golders Green Road in north London attacking “Jewish members of the public”, according to local Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim.
One victim was attacked outside a shop, the second outside a synagogue on a side road.
The suspect was tackled by Shomrim members before Metropolitan Police officers tasered and arrested him.
The attack happened roughly 300 metres from where four Hatzola ambulances were targeted in an arson attack last month, and 500 metres from a memorial wall to the victims of October 7 and Iranian protesters killed by the regime that was set alight only yesterday.
Sir Keir Starmer called the attack “utterly appalling”.
The Community Security Trust recorded 3,700 antisemitic incidents in Britain last year, more than double the 2022 figure.
