Miguel Uribe Turbay, a 39-year-old Colombian senator and presidential hopeful, has died more than two months after being critically wounded during a campaign rally in Bogotá on 7 June.
He was shot in the head and leg, underwent multiple surgeries, and remained in intensive care before suffering a fatal cerebral haemorrhage.
The attack was carried out by a 14-year-old suspect who was arrested at the scene, and several others, including an alleged mastermind, have since been detained.
His death has reignited fears of politically motivated violence in Colombia.
