Starmer condemns Russian drone violation of NATO airspace

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has condemned Russia after one of its drones entered Polish airspace during overnight attacks on Ukraine, briefly violating NATO territory.

Starmer called the incident “an extremely reckless move by Russia” and said it demonstrated President Vladimir Putin’s “blatant disregard for peace.”

Polish officials confirmed that the drone crossed into their airspace for several minutes before re-entering Ukraine, where it was shot down.

NATO is assessing the breach, which comes amid escalating Russian strikes on border regions.

The violation has heightened concerns about potential spillover of the conflict into allied territory.
