Ex-Soldier Jailed for Liverpool Parade Attack

Former soldier Paul Doyle, 54, has been sentenced to 21 and a half years in prison after driving his car into crowds during Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade in May, according to Sky.

Prosecutors said Doyle deliberately steered into packed supporters, injuring multiple people and causing widespread panic along the parade route.

Police described the attack as calculated and extremely dangerous. Victims told the court they feared a mass casualty event as the vehicle surged toward them.

The judge said Doyle posed a severe risk to the public and imposed a lengthy sentence to reflect the seriousness of the offence.
