IRGC Drone Strikes Kuwait’s Oil Refinery

IRGC drones struck the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery in Kuwait in the early hours of Friday morning, sparking fires across several operating units.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation confirmed the attack to state news agency KUNA, saying emergency teams were working to contain the blazes.

No injuries were reported.

Mina Al-Ahmadi is one of Kuwait’s primary oil processing facilities and its targeting marks a significant escalation in Iran’s campaign against Gulf energy infrastructure.

It comes a day after Iranian drones set Kuwait International Airport’s fuel depots on fire.

Kuwait’s airspace has been closed since 28 February and the country has been repeatedly struck throughout the war, with Saudi Arabia now running bus services to its airports as an alternative.
