Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has sacked Robert Jenrick. The Conservative Party claims it uncovered evidence that Robert Jenrick was preparing to defect.
According to sources, Jenrick was spotted dining with Nigel Farage last month, while conversations involving Jenrick allies were allegedly leaked to Conservative Campaign Headquarters.
Party officials also claim Jenrick’s team left a near final resignation speech unattended.
Adding to suspicions, Jenrick cancelled a speaking engagement this weekend, with insiders believing he was set to announce a defection within 24 hours.
Jenrick has not publicly commented on the allegations.
