The death toll from a missile and drone strike on the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil has reached 20, including two children, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported.
The attack, carried out overnight by Russian forces, also injured 66 people, 16 of whom are children, according to earlier figures from Ukrainian authorities.
High-rise residential buildings were struck, and rescue teams continue to search through rubble and ongoing fires triggered by the assault.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strike and called for stronger international support to protect Ukraine from repeated civilian attacks.
