Flights at Copenhagen Airport were temporarily grounded after a drone attack disrupted operations, Danish media reported.
Ekstra Bladet noted the Russian Baltic Fleet vessel Aleksandr Shabalin was detected 12 kilometers off Langeland Island with its transponder switched off during the incident.
The timing of the ship’s presence coincided with heightened drone activity near Danish airports and military installations.
Former Danish intelligence officer Jacob Kaarsbo suggested the vessel may have acted as a diversion, surveillance platform, or support ship for drone operations.
Authorities have launched an investigation into possible Russian involvement in the coordinated disruption.
