Explosions Rock Tehran’s Evin Prison in Suspected Israeli Strike

Explosions have been reported at Tehran’s infamous Evin Prison, a site known for housing political prisoners and for decades of documented torture and executions.

Iranian state media claims the blast was caused by an Israeli airstrike targeting the prison’s main gate.

Surveillance footage appears to show a drone strike hitting the entrance of the facility.

Evin Prison is controlled by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and has been sanctioned by both the United States and European Union for human rights violations.

Casualty numbers are not yet confirmed.

The incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
