The attack sparked a violent shootout that left four people dead, including two innocent civilians.
A 60-year-old resident, Marli Macedo dos Santos, was fatally injured after being taken hostage, while another bystander, Elison Nascimento Vasconcelos, was killed by stray gunfire.
