The German government has decided to lift its arms embargo on Israel following the recent ceasefire deal in Gaza.
The restrictions, imposed in August amid concerns over Israel’s military operations, will be officially removed on 24 November.
Berlin said the ceasefire and increased humanitarian access in Gaza have stabilised the situation enough to resume normal arms export procedures.
The government will now review applications on a case-by-case basis, returning to its standard export policy.
The move underscores Germany’s commitment to supporting Israel’s security while maintaining diplomatic balance over the Gaza conflict.
