Indian authorities have arrested six people following the discovery of approximately 2,900 kg of explosives in Faridabad, south of New Delhi.
Investigators say the stash included materials for improvised explosive devices and raised serious concerns of a large-scale terror plot.
The haul was found in rented premises reportedly linked to a Kashmiri medical professor and associates alleged to have ties with extremist groups.
Police launched a major operation involving hundreds of officers across the region, with searches around the campus of Al-Falah University and other sites.
The arrests and seizure mark a significant breakthrough in India’s counter-terror efforts.
