IRGC Feels Betrayed as Russia Prioritises India Over Iran

The Islamic Occupation of Iran has expressed deep disappointment after Russia approved the sale of advanced Su-57 and Su-35 fighter jets to India – yet declined Iran’s own request for Su-35s, despite Tehran’s support in past regional conflicts.

The move stings in Tehran, highlighting Moscow’s strategic pivot toward New Delhi and underscoring IRGC’s secondary role in the evolving geopolitical chessboard.

By offering its top-tier aircraft to India, Russia is signalling a shift in regional alliances, leaving Iran to reconsider its defence partnerships.

As tensions simmer, Tehran may be forced to explore new military backers.
