Iran launched three cruise missiles at Qatar early on Wednesday, with two intercepted and the third striking an oil tanker leased to QatarEnergy in Qatari territorial waters.
All 21 crew members were evacuated without casualties. Separately, an Iranian drone struck a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, sparking a large fire that emergency crews worked to contain.
Bahrain sounded two missile alerts, a person was killed by drone debris in Fujairah, UAE, and Jordan intercepted a ballistic missile and two drones. Iran has now attacked more than 20 ships during the war.
The strikes came even as Trump signalled the conflict could be winding down, highlighting the gap between Washington’s rhetoric and reality on the ground.
