Islamic Republic Rejects Trump Claim on Halted Executions

Iran’s top prosecutor has dismissed claims by Donald Trump that his intervention stopped the execution of 800 detainees arrested during nationwide protests, calling the remarks “completely false.”

Speaking to state media, the prosecutor insisted that Iran’s judicial process is independent and not influenced by foreign pressure.

Trump had suggested U.S. warnings forced Tehran to back down, a claim Iranian officials flatly deny.

The exchange highlights the deep hostility between Washington and Tehran, as the regime continues to face international scrutiny over mass arrests, executions, and its violent crackdown on protesters.
