Malaysia’s capital was hit by severe flooding after heavy rainfall pounded Kuala Lumpur on the evening of December 4.
Major roads in the city centre turned into rivers, trapping vehicles and leaving commuters stranded as water levels rose too quickly for many to escape their cars.
The Klang River burst its banks, submerging neighbourhoods, shopfronts and key transport routes.
Emergency crews and hundreds of rescuers have been deployed across the affected areas to pump out water, redirect traffic and assist those in danger.
Authorities say no casualties have been reported, but damage assessments are ongoing as the city braces for more rain.
