Lithuania has accused Russian intelligence services of attempting to set fire to a military factory that supplies equipment to Ukraine.
Officials say the case relates to a 2024 arson attack targeting a facility that produces radio frequency scanners used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Authorities in Vilnius allege the operation was organised by Russia’s military intelligence agency, the GRU.
Charges have been filed against six suspects who are citizens of Russia, Belarus, Spain, Colombia and Cuba.Â
Lithuanian police and prosecutors say similar GRU linked arson attempts have also occurred in Poland, Romania and Czechia, pointing to a wider sabotage campaign across Europe.
