Ongoing Iranian missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates are reportedly beginning to damage Dubai’s reputation as a safe, tax free global hub.
Some expatriates are now considering leaving the emirate as tensions escalate.
Residents cited missile strikes, damage near airports and repeated flight cancellations as factors increasing anxiety across the city.
One expat told the newspaper that “everybody knows that Dubai is finished,” while another said “the shine has definitely been taken off.”
Strict laws banning the posting of attack footage online have also added to concerns among residents.
