Youth across Morocco have taken to the streets demanding reforms in public healthcare, education, and job access.
The protests, largely organised through social media by groups like GenZ 212, have spread to at least 11 cities.
Authorities say nearly 200 people have been arrested in cities including Rabat, Casablanca, Agadir, and Tangier.
Protesters denounce the government’s prioritization of stadium and sports infrastructure projects over essential services.
Civil society groups accuse security forces of using excessive force and arbitrary detentions.
