Poland Demands Belarus Extradite Rail Sabotage Suspects

Poland has formally demanded that Belarus hand over two Ukrainian nationals accused of carrying out sabotage attacks on a key railway line used to supply Ukraine’s war effort.

The suspects, identified as Oleksandr K. and Yevhenii I., allegedly acted under orders from Russian intelligence before fleeing across the border into Belarus.

Warsaw says one of the blasts was strong enough to trigger a full security lockdown, and it has openly accused Moscow of orchestrating the operation.

Belarus, a close ally of Russia, has given no response and is not expected to cooperate.

Poland has escalated its response by shutting down Russia’s last remaining consulate, increasing troop deployments to protect critical infrastructure and publicly naming Russia as the mastermind behind the attack.

Moscow denies involvement and accuses Poland of stirring anti-Russian sentiment, even as the fallout spreads across the region.
