Trump Sues BBC for $10bn

Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC, alleging the broadcaster manipulated his January 6 speech in a documentary.

The suit claims the BBC “intentionally and maliciously sought to fully mislead viewers” by splicing two separate clips of the same speech given in Washington, D.C. before the Capitol riot began.

Trump’s legal filing includes one count of defamation and one count of violating Florida trade practices law, seeking $5 billion in damages for each count.

His team says the edit distorted context and harmed his reputation ahead of future elections.

The BBC has yet to publicly respond.
