Tucker Carlson has argued that a nuclear armed Iran could potentially stabilise the Middle East rather than trigger war.
Carlson said history shows Iran is unlikely to launch a nuclear attack, calling such a move suicidal.
He noted that no country labelled part of the so called “Axis of Evil” has ever used nuclear weapons, adding that the United States remains the only nation to do so in war.
Carlson pointed to North Korea, claiming its nuclearisation stabilised the Korean Peninsula by deterring intervention.
He questioned whether an Iranian bomb could similarly reduce US involvement, force Israel to rethink its regional goals, and even make Tehran less oppressive by removing fears of Western regime change.
