Turkey Detains Suspects Linked to Iranian Drone Plot

Turkish authorities have detained six people suspected of belonging to an Iranian intelligence network accused of attempting to send drones to Cyprus, according to a report by Middle East Eye.

The drones were allegedly intended for use in targeting the Incirlik Air Base, a key strategic facility hosting US and allied forces.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing as Ankara probes possible foreign intelligence operations on its soil.

The detentions underscore rising regional tensions involving Iran and concerns over covert drone activity across the eastern Mediterranean.
