Turkish security sources say Turkey is not a party to the ongoing conflict and is acting cautiously to avoid being drawn into the war.
Officials stressed that missiles directed toward Turkey followed a different pattern than the large scale attacks seen in Gulf states.
Ankara has warned Iran that those responsible must be identified and that preventive measures must be taken.
Turkish authorities also emphasised that Turkey has the deterrent power necessary to protect its national security.
Officials added that Ankara will continue pursuing diplomatic efforts to prevent further regional escalation while maintaining maximum security precautions.
