Turkey Urges End to Iran War, Rejects Regime Change Focus

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has called for the war involving Iran to end as quickly as possible, warning that the region must avoid further escalation.

He stressed that Iran’s territorial integrity must not be questioned and that pursuing regime change or similar objectives should not be the focus.

Fidan said the priority should be restoring stability across the Middle East and returning the region to normal conditions.

Ankara has repeatedly urged diplomacy and de escalation, warning that prolonged conflict could destabilise the wider region and create long term security risks.
