Ukraine launched a major wave of drone and missile attacks targeting Russia’s oil and chemical industries early this morning.
Multiple key sites were hit and set ablaze, including the Stavrolen chemical plant operated by Lukoil in Stavropol Krai, a major producer of polyethylene and petrochemicals.
The NS oil refinery in Ulyanovsk region, with a capacity of 6 million tons per year, was also struck.
In addition, the Mari oil refinery in Mari El region, capable of processing 1.6 million tons annually, was hit.
Explosions also rocked Simferopol, where oil depots near the CHP and ATAN facilities in Russian-occupied Crimea caught fire.
