Ukraine’s SBU Alpha special forces struck three Russian warships, a MiG-31 fighter jet and key radar systems in occupied Crimea overnight on Saturday.
Long-range drones hit the landing ships Yamal and Filchenkov, the reconnaissance vessel Ivan Khurs and a Black Sea Fleet training centre in Sevastopol, while the Belbek airfield was also targeted.
Acting SBU chief Yevhen Khmara said the operation was part of a methodical campaign to dismantle Russian fleet, aviation and air defence capabilities.
The raid follows a similar SBU strike on 18 April, exposing the steady decline of what was once Moscow’s prized naval foothold in the Black Sea.
