US Pauses Visa Processing for 75 Countries

United States is pausing all visa processing for nationals of 75 countries, according to Fox News.

The State Department is expected to halt applications from countries including Somalia, Russia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Nigeria, Thailand and Yemen.

The decision is set to take effect on January 21 and will remain in force indefinitely. Officials say the move is part of a broader security review of visa screening and enforcement procedures.

The pause is likely to have major diplomatic and humanitarian implications, particularly for students, workers and family reunification cases affected by the suspension.
