Violent Antifa Riots Leave Over 100 Police Injured in Turin

More than 100 police officers were injured during violent riots in Turin after clashes erupted at a protest against the closure of a social centre.

Around 15,000 people took part, with anti government slogans and pro Palestinian chants reported.

Protesters set rubbish containers on fire, lit firecrackers, and hurled stones at police, prompting security forces to respond with water cannons.

Footage circulating online shows masked Antifa rioters attacking an officer on the ground, striking him from behind with hammers and batons.

Giorgia Meloni visited injured officers in hospital, calling the violence unacceptable and describing it as an attack on the state.
