An EasyJet flight from London Luton to Glasgow was forced into an emergency landing after a 41-year-old man began shouting “I’ve got a bomb,” “Death to America,” “Death to Trump,” and repeated “Allahu Akbar.”
The disturbing outburst came shortly after departure and caused panic onboard.
Fellow passengers tackled the man and restrained him until the aircraft landed safely in Glasgow, where Police Scotland arrested him.
No explosives were found.
Counterterrorism officers are currently investigating the incident, reviewing video evidence to determine motive and if the act was isolated
